Anniversary Card & A Good Deed
I attended a 50th Anniversary party this past weekend. Dick Clark and his lovely wife Ruth renewed their vows in front of family and friends. You may be wondering how I know Dick Clark - Well - He lives next door to my Hubby's parents in NH. As you may have figured out it's not the Dick Clark that you may have been thinking but he is still quite a guy and famous in many circles! LOL!
I made this card for the event and thought it turned out pretty cute. So cute in fact, that I used the same design for another great cause. I made a set of 10 cards for the card fundraiser being hosted by Jade @ Jadedstudios on Youtube. She is hosting this to raise money for a fellow scrap buddy Claudia (66msclaudia on youtube)who has fallen on some hard times. Check out this video to learn more.
Claudia recently lost her hubby suddenly to pneumonia. She has 6 kids and no income. She is currently selling all of her craft supplies to raise money so be sure to check out her videos here.
After hearing her story I knew I wanted to do my part to help and then I saw Jade's video. I made all the cards that day and sent them right out. As I have said before, one of the greatest things about these online scrap communities whether on the scrap beach or on youtube is having a support system. These ladies are always there to answer questions, give suggestions, let us know of the newest product or deal, share techniques and most of all to help when needed. The friendship and kindness of all the ladies I have had the privilege to meet is just amazing. We are truly lucky to have these un-seen online friends.
Thanks for listening!

How busy am I???
Well, I am so busy that I missed my own Blog Anniversary! I started this blog on June 9th, 2009. Can you even believe that I forgot? I was planning to have a giveaway and a challenge contest - the whole nine yards! Oops, my bad!
So, I am going to take my cue from the Mad Hatter and have an Unbirthday sort of thing. I have decided since I forgot - I have to make it special. So, I have decided to have a Unblogiversary Month Celebration! What will that be like???
I will be collecting a few goodies and making something special all to give away on the blog each week! There will be one challenge per week, a giveaway and...
wait for it...
The Grungeboard Series!!! That's right - I have been talking about doing this forever and I am finally going to do it! I have a very special grungeboard project to share and during that I will teach techniques, talk about differences and properties of grunge and just get messy! Details about the challenges and prizes will start August 1st along with the first grunge video.
I'm am still shaking my head at myself for forgetting this important date! Hopefully this will make up for it! Let me know things you would like to see during this month of fun???

Update!
Yes, I am still here! I have been super busy lately. I have had some type of event every weekend. Every spare minute I have to craft has been devoted to making the kits for my mini album class. They are looking great! I have altered paper clips, made what feels like a billion camelot doop flowers, cut up bling and more! I am trying to do a few things up front so the class can finish a mini album in 2 hours. Not an easy task! I still have lots to do but I find it fun!
I will be selling a limited number fo kits for the mini album here on my blog!
The only down side of being so busy...I don't have much to share with all of you! I have come up with a great idea for another class. I can't wait to tell you about it!
On to my other passion: TV
Summer tv is always a different animal. There are only maybe 1 or 2 shows worth watching a night, if that! Here is what is on my TV schedule for summer!
Mondays:
*Last Comic Standing (Glad it is back!)
*Make it or Break it (cheezy, teen show but I Love it!, Don't judge!)
*The Closer
Tuesdays:
*Hell's Kitchen (I am kind of over this show but hubby likes it)
*Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-list (She is hilarious!)
*Hawthorne
*Memphis Beat (I will try it, but I am skeptical)
Wednesdays:
*Top Chef (LOVE!)
*Work of Art (Project Runway for artists - I like to see them come up with their ideas)
Thursdays:
*Glee reruns
*Burn Notice
*Royal Pains
Sundays:
*Next Food Network Star
*Design Star
Given that is far below my nightly average - I have more time to craft! I plan to get many projects done. More projects coming - I promise!!!!! I hope you are enjoying your spring/summer! What are your summer TV favorites???

A Page for Lyna
I was asked to make a 6 x 6 page for a girl named Lyna who is really sick. Patricia is a sweet woman who decided to give her a mini to catalog her journey as she completes her bucket list. I wish her luck and happiness. Thank you for including me in this good deed.
I hope you like what I created.

Ribbon Board
This is Amy playing Trading Spaces. Inspired by Martha Stewart. A few years back, My mother and I both made these ribbon boards as Christmas gifts. The ribbon board is a great project, inexpensive and easy! These boards are great for scrapbook rooms to display cards, tags or ideas. They are great in the kitchen as a catchall for bills, invitations, pictures, receipts and more! We use ours everyday! I decided to change the fabric and ribbon to match my new kitchen decor and thought I would share it with you!
Watch the videos and if you have questions just ask!
Have a great Memorial Day weekend!
Stay safe!
Here is how I hang the Ribbon board! I get the Velcro strips from either Target or Home Depot.

My first Scrapbooking class!!!
I did it! I had my first Scrapbook class. I taught Technique Tags. I had 10 people sign up. It was a great group of ladies and if you are popping in...Thank you all so much for a great night!
I have to say everything went great! Everyone finished, on time - it was fun and I think everyone learned something! Yes, it was a great night until...the Bechard Luck strikes again! Even though I am now married and have a new last name the Bechard luck follows me anyway! Listen to my story...
I am on the way to the class and decided to stop and get an iced cafe mocha from Starbucks. I get in the car and take a drink, yum! Oops the cap is a bit loose, OK 1 drip on the shirt. i will just clean it when I get there. No biggie. I get there and in the parking lot I put my contacts in and drop contact solution all over my car. Then I get out of the car only to discover what I thought was a small drip was in fact a HUGE stain all over my shirt! Fabulous! Just what a girl needs when she is teaching her first class! Thank goodness they sell t-shirts there! Crisis averted right??? Nope. Oh, it gets better ladies!
I am teaching my class and all is going great, I decide to show how to make homemade glimmermist using Distress re-inkers, water and perfect pearls. I demonstrate how to do it then I get asked a question about the type of ink, go to grab the ink bottle and...Bechard Luck!!! It drops and spills in the middle of the carpet! Spiced Marmalade Re-inker all over the carpet! I am mortified! It is one of those moments in movies that happen in slow motion and you can't stop them. We get the cleaner and do as much as we can to get the ink up (thank god my mom was taking my class! Built in helper!). we get a lot of it up but there is more to do. I am going to try and hit with a steam cleaner and see what I can do. If anyone has any tips to get this dye based ink off a carpet - please share!!!
I really makes me mad though because other than that horrible, want to crawl in a hole and die moment, it really did go great! I would have called it a complete success but the stupid Bechard Luck mixed with my clumsy day, just couldn't give me that moment! Really! Seriously, did that really just happen!!!
I can only hope that Camille does not vote me off the Scrapbook Island forever and forgives a clumsy girl like me! I know I will be getting some MAJOR crap at my Monthly Scrap Club in June! Looking forward to that!
So thank you to anyone who attended my class, thank you to Camille and Ashley for being so nice and understanding and to all my bloggers for stopping by to read of my humiliation! Love ya all!
