My TWS swap mini from Tammy

WOW, Amazed, Touched, Lucky are just a few words that come to mind when I think of this mini. Tammy from dreamcreateandshare.blogspot.com was my partner for my second swap. I filmed me opening the package and boy was I excited. She had asked what kind of mini I would like. I told her I have so many different love themed events still left to scrap it was her call. I gave her a list and she chose to make me a Vegas themed mini to house my first anniversary pictures.

My hubby and I revisited Vegas for this special event and I am so excited to have it remembered in this gorgeous mini! I was blown away by how personalized and special she made this. The colors are so me and the added touches she put in are so awesome and will fit my anniversary so perfectly!

She added a bunch of goodies too! chipboard, postage frames, tags, bling and so much more! She included a tag she had made for a tag swap - it is so pretty!

Tammy - Thank you so much for such a beautiful place to keep my first anniversary memories. I will treasure it always.

Challenge Accepted!

Here is a card I made for a challenge for Blog Candy hosted by Leslie from creativepzazz.blogspot.com. She is a Stampin up demonstrator and a great friend. Check out her blog! She posts everyday!!! Can you imagine!

The challenge was to use a spiral or swirl on a card or page as a background or element. It also had to be dimensional. I decided to use a grungeboard piece. I am loving the effect of smooch spritz on grungeboard. So pretty! I added some ribbon and a smooched prima flower and a book plate. The swirl acts as a vine with the prima on top.

I am going to give this card to my Grandmother for her birthday. Thank you Leslie for getting me to make a card ahead of time instead of an hour before the party.

My Craft Room - **UPDATED**

Finally! My craft room is organized, my butterflies are up on the wall, Finn is behaving (well, sort of) and I have time during the day.......VIDEO!!!

I take you through my new room. Some things, you have seen before, some are new. I need to thank all the ladies out there who helped me find solutions to storage and organization problems. As you all know, scrapping is the best hobby EVER but boy does it take a lot of stuff!!! Finding a way to organize it so it works for you can take years. I am always tweaking my room and love organizing and cleaning it! (The only room I LOVE to clean! LOL) I am pretty happy with the state of things right now and will probably be content for a week or so before I change something else.

I hope you find something in these videos that helps you. I am sorry it is so long - I either have too much stuff, talk to much or have poor time management. If you make it all the way through - I commend you and thank you for listening to me babble for so long. You rock!

Also, Sorry about the B_____ Bubbly swear word but I just love that bottle so much and had to include it in the tour! Cute and Sassy just like me plus it has stickles all over it!! The bubbly bottle is from a pink champagne my sister-in-law brought over for New Year's this year. So fun!

Fun Tag Project!

I bought a Martha Stewart score board for $8 at Michael's and was dying to use it! I searched for a few projects and found this one. I knew it was perfect for a gift I was giving next week at Crop Club. I hope you like ti!

You can make a bigger bag by using a larger tag, cutting a large tag on your Cricut, or just cutting a tag shape out of card stock or manila folders.

This is a super quick project and perfect for those small gifts. A great way to show off your tags!

TWS Swap mini for Tammy!

I joined the February TWS (Trade Wind Scrappers) mini album swap on the Beach community I belong to. [Check out the side bar to link over and join! You will love it!] I was paired up with Tammy who was looking for a love themed album, She likes pinks and browns, not Valentine's specific, and similar to Marion at A Piece of Craft.com style! I had my work cut out for me but I was ready to step up to the challenge!

I found this amazing paper at Michael's. DCWV Old World 8 x 8 paper stack. I loved it! The damasks, the distressed look, the colors! I was so excited to work with it! I decided to use some Maya Road ticket sheers and the ticket album I got at Michael's to make a Ticket to Love mini! I had my theme, paper, and a new arrival and my new obsession...Glimmer mist and white prima flowers! I was set to go!

I had a blast making this. I even tried some new techniques - some made the album - some, not so much! I always try to incorporate something new into each mini I make to not only try new things but stretch my skill base. I figure the more I try, the more I learn. I am not usually a pink person but I dove in and really liked the colors! The mini only came with 5 pages and I need to make 6 for the swap so I added an envelope page. Fun and super easy to do! I made my own paper using modpodge and was really happy with how it looks - it did warp the chipboard a bit though. If anyone has tips on how to prevent this let me know. Next time I am thinking of doing it on grungeboard instead of chipboard. All in all - I loved the finished album. I really hope Tammy does too!

Vintage Valentine Tag Swap

I am participating in a tag swap hosted by Arlene @ butterflykisseswithlove.blogspot.com. The theme is Vintage Valentine! So much fun! I had a blast making these tags. I used shipping tags from Staples. I played with distress inks, grunge paper, charms and fun stamps! I think they came out super cute! Watch the video to see me make them! I will show all the tags once I get them in. I am not sure what to do with them but I am thinking either a love mini tag album or a wall decor of some kind for my scrap room. If you have any other creative ideas - let me know!

Some Grundeboard fun!

So I spent some time today playing with Grungeboard. I tried a tip Tim Holtz told me in the class I took from him. I love this stuff! So much fun! Check out the cool thing you can do with it!

Also, I plan to do a grunge week, where I show all the tips Tim showed me and make a new Patchwork Pandemonium. I am not sure when this will happen but i have the supplies so keep your eye out for that in the next few months!
