I want to share a quick project I made for my nephews. I just wanted a cute (Cheap) project to give them for Valentine's day. I found these alphabet cards by K & Company at Michael's in the clearance section for $2.99. I finally used my Bind-it-all. I screwed up on the cover but covered it up. I am loving how nicely the book turns. Binder rings can be tricky - I love the O-wires. I know they won't work in every situation but for those thinner projects - it is awesome! Even Dave (the hubby) said it looked a lot more professional and was easier to use.
I think the book came out really cute, especially given it only took 5-10 minutes to make!

Recent Projects
I had Cabana Crop Club at my local Scrapbook Store this past weekend. The club meets once a month and you make a project, eat lunch, have hours to scrap whatever you want and of course LOTS of gabbing with the ladies! My mom goes with me and it's a nice bonding activity for us to do together. I love it!
I thought I would share what I made this past meeting. I finally have returned to my wedding scrapbook and love the page I came up with. It is very romantic and fairy tale fun! I also got around to using the sweet treat cups from Stampin up in the manner I bought them for. They don't hold treats but something just as sweet! I had trouble with this page for so long and if you go back and click HERE at this video you will see the old solution and I think we can all agree the page is much better now!
I also finished a quick and easy 2 page layout that used up a bunch of my scraps! It is for a Christmas present for my sister-in-law. Yes, I said Christmas! I gave her a scrapbook for 2010. Filled with a 2 page layout for each month. However, after being sick and just being super busy - I only got 5 months done before Christmas. I told her I would finish each missing month before the month arrived. March was one of the missing months so I tackled that at crop club! I think the page is simple but cute and a great way to clear out some of those under used scraps! I have a plan to use scraps for April too! (yup, another missing month!) I have the following months still to complete: April, May, July, August, September, November! I know, I know, a lot of empty spots to fill but I am working on it!!!!
A few weeks ago, I had some time to organize my ribbon and I love the new system because I can actually see what I have, touch it, hold it up to a project - not to mention it looks pretty! I am very lucky Finn has not gravitated over to the flowy ribbon - could be disastrous if he ever decides to play but it is worth the risk!
Just a few things I have been working on, hope you like them! I am excited to finish my wedding album. My goal is to finish it before our Second anniversary (in April). I have about 6-8 more pages to add. Better get crackin!!!
Thanks for stopping in!

Kathryn, My angel!
Back Story:
In October 2009, I signed up for a mini album swap with TWS (Trade Wind Scrappers) on the Life on the (Scrap) Beach online community. The theme was Feeling Spooky. I made the spooky album (I have a video for that here ) for my partner and I never received one in return. I was pretty bummed.
Kathryn (the founder of the Scrap beach and an amazingly talented Scrapper) decided to start a Scrappers Angel Guild. If someone doesn't get an album from their partner a bunch of ladies (me included) have volunteered to make one for them when called upon. Kathryn was my angel and made me a mini to make up for the one I never received! How nice is that!
I was blown away by how amazing this album is. She put so much effort, time and personalization into it! I feel so special and I couldn't be more grateful. She had kitty stamps that were just too adorable and even named one Finn! She is just so inspiring and talented! The album colors are awesome - she has such a eye for detail! I love the paper bags, tags, and bind it all O wires! I was just blown away! My favorite parts are the owls, Finn stamp and fragments! You outdid yourself!!!
Kathryn, Thank you so much! I am truly touched!

My Free Haul
Most of you know, I am on a buying freeze. I have made a New Year's Resolution to stop buying scrap supplies and use what I have already purchased. Scrap products are so enticing that I got wrapped up in buying and forgot to create! I have allowed myself to buy necessary items when I run out - such as:
~Adhesive
~Cardstock
~Chipboard
I have been very good so far and the other day - I wanted to shop so I went to the only store I knew wouldn't cost me money...Mom's (My mother's house!) I went through the basement, my old childhood desk, and the garage. Watch the video to see what goodies I uncovered!
Check out your basements, old memory boxes, Parent's house! Think outside the box and see what you can find! I would love to hear what you find!

My Review of the Sizzix Texture Boutique
OK, I am pretty bummed out. I broke out my Sizzix Texture Boutique to play and have some fun only to find out it was pretty much useless. I plan to write Sizzix and tell tehm of my disappointment. Watch the video to find out why I am so upset! Mom, you get a pretty embossing machine! Get excited!

Toy Box Mini Album
Happy New Year!!
Here is a mini I made for my dad/nephews. My dad made my nephews a toy box. It took him over 2 years to build. Finally it is done and he gave it to the boys this Christmas. I thought it would be a nice idea to make a mini so he could tell the boys his story. They are too young to understand what importance this toybox has but with this they might get it a little.
It came out great and they loved it! Hope you like it!
