I love cars Mini Album

Here is my first mini album!! (Well, my first solo, without a kit!) I think it came out really good. I think the 2 year old I made kit for will absolutely love it! I have to thank Marion for her button hole technique. She is so clever! Anyway, I hope you like it. Please leave a comment! I have a bunch of videos to come. So stay tuned!!

  1. You did a really good job. I have no answer for you regarding the glossy accents. I have been making books for my 2 year old granddaughter and the only thing I can advise is be very careful with anything you are putting on the book that is either sharp (like the mini pins) or has base metal (like the key and chain) because if a child is allowed to put it in his mouth or swallow it, it can cause brain damage, so please be very careful.
I would love to be able to use brads and eyelets but I pretty much just stick to stickles, paper and ribbon, at least for the books for Emma, the ones for her mom that wont just be around for playtime I bling out.
But, with that said you did a fantastic job - - -love it!!

  2. Thank you for the suggestions. I will change the album up a bit tonight. I don't have kids yet and forgot that they stick everything they can get their tiny hands on in their mouth. Thank you!

  3. I hope you didn't take that wrong but I would HATE for something to have happened then we all would have felt terrible. Your book is absolutely adorable. Maybe you should hang on to all of the stuff and "refix" it after he's past the age of "playing" with it for a keep sake for his momma. ;-)

  4. I left it as is just for me to show everyone but I packed a little bag of stickers and things to hide the changes and I will alter it after everyone looks at it. The changes are actually quite simple and I will give the chain and charm etc. to my sis-in-law so she can change it back someday (if it makes it that long - unlikely!)

Don't worry about how I take things, I am great with constructive criticism. I just appreciate any input people have. This input in particular b/c I love my nephews and wouldn't want to be responsible for causing any harm! The album is still going to be cute and really I love all comments!!!

  5. It's very cute ~ I think you did a good job! I love all the different papers and embellishments you combined ~ it turned out really well!

If anyone ever answers you about the Glossy Accents, please let me know. As far as I can tell, that stuff will not budge! Which is why it's such a great adhesive for difficult items, but a pain when there's overflow.

    You're doing great, Amy!
